What we do
EDUCATION
The National Curriculum is fully delivered in up to 9 subjects, starting at Kindergarten through to Junior High. Older pupils have successfully progressed to the entrance exam for Senior High, a major achievement given their backgrounds. We also link them to the Senior High School support network and vocational skills coaching as new graduates.

EXTRA-CURRICULARS
Promoting participation in a range of extra-curricular activities has delivered obvious benefits to the children, boosting self-confidence, health and physical well-being. We have enjoyed repeat success as winners during local school sports competitions which encourages even more pupils to participate in activities. Especially talented pupils have represented J-Ann on the national stage at the Fun World dance competition.
CAREER WEEKS
Planning for the future is an important priority for every child. Our approach is to encourage pupils to think big and pursue their dreams. The annual Career Week provides opportunity for pupils to wear the uniform of their dream profession. The aim is to instil confidence and aspiration to achieve a dream, linked to continuing their education, beyond J-Ann.
HEALTH CARE
Well-being and health is a priority for us. We provide free medical care. Working closely with local community hospitals and clinics, we offer free medical screening for pupils – this includes eye disease, Hepatitis B etc. All children and their care givers are supported in the registration process for the National Health Insurance Scheme, providing an element of medical care costs.
EMPOWERING GHANAIAN GIRLS (EGG)
This important project inspires girls to follow their dreams and continue their education as leaders of the future. We achieve this by coaching, using tools and resources that focus on:
(i) Skills enhancement
(ii)Mental, emotional and physical well-being
(iii) promoting girls’ rights, advocating against violence.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS
Our valued teaching team are constantly learning and improving their individual and team skills. With high levels of commitment, strong work ethic and motivation, the teachers have pursued the funded training and development opportunities offered at J-Ann. They initiate a personal development plan, opting to learn new skills or specialisms, with many enrolling ontertiary level courses.
