“I attended the J-Ann Centre from September 2013 and completed my time there in June 2017. I was able to successfully complete my school certificates and have gone on to achieve a BSc in Accounting. During my time at J-Ann I was appointed Head Prefect.

Accessing the quality of education provided by J- Ann has allowed me to get where I am now.

J-Ann shaped me into a disciplined, confident, and goal-oriented person. I’m grateful for the foundation it has given me. J-Ann my hope, my home. Thank you.

Coming from a less financially privileged background, J-Ann was an opportunity for me to participate in society and experience the quality education that was offered. I was lucky to receive this financial support to complete my Senior High years.

I was particularly inspired by my Mathematics teacher and the proprietor to study hard and achieve greater heights. The teachers were always available to assist us both academically and sometimes financially.

Travel to the Centre every day involved a taxi journey from the next village so I didn’t need to stay close. It would be true to say that the infrastructure and facilities need a big push as students would achieve more if they were improved. The ability for students to study and improve their literacy should be enabled.

J-Ann is a family and that has helped us in all that we’ve done and growing up. Growing as a community and family made the place so special for each one of us at the Centre.”

“Before J-Ann, I lost my father, dropped out of school to sell waakye to support my younger siblings. Luckily, I studied at J-Ann for 2 years, achieving BECE and WASSCE and now am completing a degree in Health Information Management.

The Centre has a strong reputation for academic excellence, disciplined environment, and nurturing teachers who help each child reach their potential. My maths teacher, inspired me with creative lessons that made learning fun and easy. My English teacher encouraged me to write and express my ideas confidently. In addition, I benefitted from academic guidance, counselling support, and extra tuition classes when needed. I gained confidence in public speaking, improved academically, and learned leadership skills through my prefect
duties.

Travelling nearly 17km daily to school, I also had to learn how to balance schoolwork with extracurricular activities – teachers always helped with time management tips and extra lessons when I fell behind. I had financial support and J-Ann is still paying my fees in the university”.
